The characters are very relatable and I became wrapped up in their struggles as they searched for ways to make ends meet. The reader gains insight into the events that led to the conflicting nature of the lead character who at different times is charitable, seemingly selfish and frequently self-destructive. The New York City setting adds ambiance to the story. I will not say more as I do not want to be a story spoiler. The read is definitely worth the time.

I appreciate everyone who took a chance on a new author and tried my book. I hope it is up to your standards. It took a long time to get to this point. I started writing this about 14 years ago. A lot of life happened in between, but the book was finished how I imagined it from the start. I wrote it from start to finish with few notes, never jumping ahead.
